Located 1km from the Mae Kuang Dam & the breath taking views of the reservoir. Doi Saket district remains a tranquil, predominantly rural farming area, of rice fields and vegetable crops in the valley bordered by orchard plantations upon the lush hillsides. The town proper is located 5 minutes down the road. The attractive traditional Northern Thai town has seen a healthy growth of new residents in recent years, yet its primary economic focus remains agriculture. It boasts a large produce market whilst retaining its traditional northern Thai cultural atmosphere. Doi Saket has recently seen benefits to its residents from the introduction of 7/11 and Tesco Lotus. The town is most famous with Thai tourists for its beautiful, modern-style wall murals of Wat Doi Saket perched on the hill.
